Whitehead Orthodontics – Sanford, Fayetteville & Spring Lake, NC
Compensation: $19 – $22 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a motivated and energetic Orthodontic Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This role will primarily support our clinics in Sanford on Mondays, Fayetteville on Tuesdays, and Spring Lake on Wednesdays, NC, with potential for one Friday shift per month. 

Schedule:

• Monday: Sanford Office - 8 hours
• Tuesday: Fayetteville Office – 4-6 hours
• Wednesday: Spring Lake Office – 8 hours
• Future Opportunity: One Friday a month in Spring Lake - 6 hours
• Total Weekly Hours: 18–20 hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms in accordance with OSHA and HIPAA standards
• Take diagnostic records, including X-rays and impressions
• Support patients throughout their treatment experience with professionalism and empathy
• Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative team members
• Adapt to different clinic environments while maintaining consistent quality of care

Required Qualifications:

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)
• Current North Carolina X-ray Certification
• Valid CPR Certification
• Reliable transportation to all assigned clinic locations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Orthodontic Assistant Certification
• Prior experience in an orthodontic setting
• On-the-job training available for certified dental assistants without orthodontic experience
